Art Presentation

For many years I was experimenting with different styles, techniques and mediums. In the period of figurative art I was trying to explore the color, light, space, composition in the scenes which bring the joys of painting closer to a spectator. Illustrations for children, my second passion, were leading me to the world of fairy tales and fantasy.

Suddenly I noticed that each of my paintings contains many of the traditional characteristics of naïvism: vibrant colors, child-like perspective and a lyrical affection to my countryside.
Finally I found myself in naive art characterized by a refreshing innocence and the charming use of bright colors, child-like perspective and idiosyncratic scale. It portrays simple, easily-understandable and often idealized scenes of everyday life. I love that peaceful interaction between nature, mankind and the animal

kingdom. Moodiness predominates, with cheerful sweetness in one work replaced by melancholy solemnity in another.

My paintings bustle with color and excitement, brim with wry humor and candor, bubbles with unbridled empathy and love. They are a direct response to what is happening around me and to the emotions experienced every day.
